My name is Manjulata Chivukula, I am a graduate student in School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Prior, to joining Data Science program for MS. I worked in Indiana University as Senior software developer for about 9 years. Before joining IU as staff, I got my Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Before joining Indiana University for graduate work, I worked in India for LVL7 Systems (a Broadcomm Company) for two years working on the development and testing of IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols for routers and switches.
Currently, working on implementation of tableau dashboards for various social media channels for IU like twitter, facebook, instagram and linkedin with a goal to provide insight into social media traffic for IU such that, a successful socialmedia strategy can be setup to maximize brand awareness and brand positioning for IU.
Developed visualizations for the WNBA game survey data to help understand the impact of in-game entertainment, food and beverage services and other in-game services on ticket sales; analyzed the data to help withidentifying potential season ticket purchasers and the promotions that need to be providedView Project

In this work, I explored the use of vanilla VAE and other VAE models in order to understand and analyze the learned latent representations and their performance in downstream supervised image classfication tasks. I demonstrated my results using MNIST dataset.View Project
